Position: Customer Service Rep

1. Customer service and taking care of our customer’s wants and needs is our top priority. 

2. Answer the phone in a courteous, professional manner. 

3. Greet customers as they enter the store with a friendly, business-like manner. 

4. Learn and understand the Taylor Rental computer system. 

5. Accurately input rental reservations, customer inquiries and rental contracts. 

6. Load and unload customer’s orders, as needed. 

7. Learn the different uses/applications of all of our rental items. 

8. Learn how to operate every piece of equipment and be able to instruct our customers on how to use their rented items. 

9. Check equipment in and assist in servicing the items and properly tag as “rental ready” or red tag with listed maintenance issues. 

10. Wash, dry and bag all party items. 

11. Check contracts, daily, for late returns. 

12. Follow-up overdue contracts with a phone call. 

13. Constantly check upcoming reservations and coordinate pickup of items from the warehouse and other Taylor Rental locations. 

14. Ensure that rented items are pulled and ready for pickup. 

15. Ensure deliveries and pickups are done on schedule. 

16. Handle complaints in a professional manner and if needed, contact manager or general manager. 

17. Balance cash drawer, daily and assist in making the bank deposit daily. 

18. Keep front showroom clean and orderly, including sweeping, dusting, emptying trash cans and maintaining resale inventory. 

19. Assist in making sure the outside of the store and grounds surrounding are kept clean and uncluttered. 

20. Help and assist on deliveries, as needed. 

21. Assist in running daily reports, as requested by the manager. 

22. Maintain constant communication with shop on equipment that is in maintenance, being rented or being returned with repairs needed. Know what equipment is in maintenance and how long it will be there. 

23. Safety is important. At all times be safe! 

24. Ask questions. It is better to ask than to make a mistake that could have been avoided.
